1 - Information Iowa Farm Business Association Collects

Use of Iowa Farm Business Association’s (hereinafter “IFBA”) websites; iowafarmbusiness.org, pcmars.com (hereinafter “Website(s)”), and/or IFBA’s software generally may require you to provide personal information so IFBA may follow up with you. Such personal information may be required to subscribe to email notifications, complete surveys, receive support or fill out other forms, such as the “contact us” form.

Personal Information: You may provide IFBA with personal information, including but not limited to, the following:

  1. Name, address, telephone number, and email address.
  2. Login/password for your account with IFBA.
  3. Payment information.
  4. Date of birth.
  5. The identification number associated with your account.

Non-Personal Information: IFBA may also collect analytic data to maintain the high quality and efficacy of IFBA’s Websites and/or IFBA’s software generally using automated means such as cookies (as described in Section 2 below), server logs, web beacons, etc. The collected analytic data may include, but is not limited to, the following:

  1. Your internet protocol (I.P.) address.
  2. Your basic location information (strictly a group statistic), i.e., state/city you are located in.
  3. Cookie session IDs.
  4. The page(s) you visited.
  5. Features you used/searched for.
  6. Web browser you used during your visit.
  7. Operating system you use.
  8. The link that referred/brought you to IFBA’s Websites or IFBA’s software generally.

IFBA may use Google Analytics, a third-party measurement software, to gather and compile the above-referenced information. Google Analytics does not collect, track or have any access to personal information received at IFBA’s Websites. Please be advised that IFBA may use cookies to collect general information about your visit that will be retained and used by IFBA, including, without limitation, for IFBA marketing as described in this privacy policy. 3 - What IFBA Does With Your Information

IFBA uses the information collected for internal purposes such as evaluating, operating, and improving IFBA, its Websites, protecting against and preventing data breaches and fraud, complying with legal requirements, etc. IFBA may also make use of and provide this information to third parties for business purposes such as, but not limited to, maintaining your account, to conduct engagement audits, to conduct marketing of IFBA services, to protect the security of our Websites, software, and business, and to prevent fraud. IFBA will not rent or sell your personal information for money.

Email Marketing: By providing your email you are agreeing that IFBA may send you emails directly regarding its products, to promote its products, to provide support, and other matters relating to the maintenance of your account.

 4 - Consent

How does IFBA get my consent? 

When you provide IFBA with personal information, utilize IFBA’s software, utilize IFBA’s services, verify your credit card, place an order, etc., you agree to consent to IFBA collecting your information and using it for the purposes set out in this privacy policy.

How do I withdraw my consent? 

If you change your mind, you may withdraw your consent for IFBA to contact you for the continued collection, use or disclosure of your information, at any time, by contacting IFBA at info@IFBA.org.

5 - Disclosure

In addition to disclosure for the uses described above, IFBA may also disclose your personal information if IFBA is required by law to do so or if you violate any of IFBA’s End User License Agreements.

6 - Third-Party Policies

IFBA’s Websites are hosted by a third-party hosting service. Saltech System, is a separate entity from IFBA and has its own privacy policy and terms of use. Links to Saltech System’s policy as well as the privacy policies of IFBA’s other third-party service providers may be found below. IFBA strongly recommends you review these additional policies and terms to fully understand how each IFBA vendor uses your information. IFBA has no specific information regarding the privacy policies of companies with which IFBA is not directly associated and encourages users of IFBA’s Websites and/or IFBA’s software generally to contact the providers for additional details pertaining to privacy policies that may allow collection of information by any such entities.

7 - Third-Party Services

In general, the third-party providers used by IFBA will only collect, use, and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to IFBA.

However, certain third-party service providers, such as payment gateways and other payment transaction processors, if any, have their own privacy policies with respect to the information IFBA is required to provide to them for your purchase-related transactions.

For these providers in particular, IFBA recommends that you read their privacy policies and terms of service so you can understand the manner in which your personal information will be handled by these providers.

In particular, remember that certain providers may be located in or have facilities that are located in a different jurisdiction than either you or IFBA. If you elect to proceed with a transaction that involves the services of a third-party service provider, then your information may become subject to the laws of the jurisdiction(s) in which that service provider or its facilities are located.

As an example, if you are located in Canada and your transaction is processed by a payment gateway located in the United States, then your personal information used in completing that transaction may be subject to disclosure under United States legislation, including the Patriot Act.

Once you leave IFBA’s Websites or IFBA’s software or are redirected to a third-party Websites or application, you are no longer governed by this privacy policy. As such, this privacy policy applies solely to IFBA’s Websites and IFBA’s software generally. Links to other organizations’ websites are included to provide visitors of IFBA’s Websites with additional information. IFBA is not responsible for the content or privacy policies of other organizations’ websites.

Links: When you click on links using IFBA’s Websites or IFBA’s software generally, the links may direct you to a third-party website. IFBA is not responsible for the privacy practices of other websites and encourages you to read their privacy statements.

Do Not Track Signals: IFBA does not process or respond to "Do Not Track" signals from your browser or other mechanisms that enable consumer choice regarding the collection of personal information about your online activities over time and across third-party websites or online services.

8 - Notice to California Customers

If you are a resident of California, you may make certain requests concerning the personal information collected by IFBA. IFBA will comply with these requests to the extent required by law.

You may request to know what personal information of yours that we have, to delete that information, and to request that your personal information not be sold. However, IFBA will not sell your information for monetary gain.

To make such a request, you can email or write to IFBA at the address below. Please mention in your communication that you are making a "California Consumer Privacy Act" inquiry. IFBA will respond within thirty days.

9 - Protecting Your Information

To protect your personal information, IFBA follows usual and customary industry practices to ensure your information is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed.

Credit card information is not directly accepted by IFBA’s Websites, or IFBA’s software generally. Credit card and other personal information is transmitted to IFBA’s payment processor(s), USAePay and/or Greatland Corporation. Although no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, IFBA’s payment processor(s), USAePay and/or Greatland Corporation, follow usual and customary industry practices to protect your data.

10 - Age of Consent

By using the IFBA’s Websites, including but not limited to PcMars.com, and/or IFBA’s software generally, you represent that you are at least the age of majority in your state or province of residence, or that you are the age of majority in your state or province of residence, and you have given IFBA your consent to allow any of your minor dependents to use IFBA’s Websites and IFBA’s software generally.

11 - Changes to This Privacy Policy

IFBA reserves the right to modify this privacy policy at any time, so please review it frequently. Changes and clarifications will take effect immediately upon their posting on IFBA’s Websites or upon updating the IFBA’s software. If IFBA makes material changes to this privacy policy, IFBA will notify you here that it has been updated, so that you are aware of what information IFBA collects, how IFBA uses it, and under what circumstances, if any, IFBA uses and/or discloses it.

12 - Compliance With the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act

To the extent applicable, IFBA complies with the requirements of the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act. IFBA will not target its offerings towards, or knowingly collect any personally identifiable information from, children under 13 years of age.

13 - Online Policy Only

This privacy policy applies only to information collected through IFBA’s Websites and/or IFBA’s software generally and not to information collected offline.

14 - Security

Information emailed to IFBA via the Internet is not secure and could be intercepted by others. IFBA recommends you do not use email to send private or sensitive data about yourself or others unless it is encoded or encrypted. IFBA uses usual and customary industry encryption and cybersecurity policies to protect your passwords, contact information, and other personal information.
